| It's strange what things you can find out about when you randomly browse the net due to boredom.
I started with my favourite pasttime...google video to burn time...
Then, just for old times sake I decided to look for some WoW videos...
Well, what came up in the search list was a video titled, "The Internet is for Porn"
...
...
Come on! If you saw a video titled like that you'd click it too! In fact, click it now!!! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5430343841227974645
Anyways, the vid was good, the song was catchy....really catchy. And of course I wanted to know where the hell it came from. So I googled the lyrics...which turned out to be a stupid waste of time since after I got frustrated I noticed it said where the song came from right in the video description. ><
So, it turns out it was from a broadway musical called Avenue Q. http://www.avenueq.com/ Cool eh?
The problem now is that I'm starting to wish I had decided to go to NYC for my cousin's wedding....not so much because it's her wedding...but more because of the Muppets in Avenue Q.

| The thing I find the most amusing/depresing about my life is the timing of everything. ><
Case in point: I've been itching to get a new monitor for my computer for around 2 years, but I've been putting it off for a few reasons. First I wanted a LCD and unfortunatly I'm a whore about getting a good one for a good price, so that made it easy to put off until late '05 since good ones started to be sold for a decent price. Then I promised myself that I wouldn't accept a "downgrade" in size from my old 19" CRT...now that technically means I needed to buy a 19" LCD. Ok, now there's a problem, good 19" LCDs still were going for $500+, and even worse I had been thinking of getting a wide screen which tacks on another 100 at least.
So to make myself feel better, I made another promise...that I wouldn't buy a new monitor until my old CRT died. That I thought was a good idea since it meant at the earliest I'd probably be buying durring or after summer holidays this year...after all my mon didn't show any signs of dying...no darkness...no FUBAR refresh problems like mikes, and no other signs of "early" death.
What'd ya know, it decided to spontaneously die last Wed. night while I was studying. ><
Good, I can get a new monitor...Bad, it broke my study rythm....for people who've seen my attempts at studying, they know that it's hard to get started, and easy to get distracted and when I get distracted it's not for a hour, or even a few hours. It's more like I have problems focusing completly for the next day. ><
Bah. So yeah, good news I have a new 20" widescreen LCD...bad news I'm not going to be quite as prepared for my first exam as I hoped...hopefully it won't be a problem but as we all know...Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.
(currently praying for the best case scenario on the exam)

| Ok, so I surprisingly enough ran into a few hours where I really didn't have anything to do. I didn't feel like drawing, gaming, writing or anything else.
Looking for something else to do to pass the time since I didn't feel like doing much, I decided to randomly browse google videos. Simple, effective and usually pretty entertaining right? Well, on any other day I guess...the problem is that I stumbled upon a series of captures of a Johnathon Ross...hrm, I guess documentaries about asian films. I figured why not? It'll give me some ideas of what films I should watch....Well, all was going well until part way through the episode on japanese cinema. Ross decides to go shopping at the HMV for some DVD's of fairly recent movies...ok, so far so good...starts mentioning them...alright....ok, he mentioned Casshern! w00t! That was a fun movie! No problem! Next up was Ping Pong...alright, I can't complain since I liked Hikaru No Go manga, and honestly, as a "sport" Ping Pong is probably greater than Go.
The next film Wild Zero was kinda weird, and what I'd call lame but...well, I have to admit I watched it and yes it was lame but it was also entertaining...which honestly I wouldn't have expected since the whole story revolves around "Rock'n'Roll" fighters, and how they kick ass with their amazing energy pick techniques.
The next film they mentioned scared me for life....fuck, I was hoping that I'd get some ideas for good films to watch that I haven't before....NOT FILMS TO STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM!!!!!!!! ><
Argh! I'm going to warn anyone who cares to read this....DO NOT! FOR THE LOVE OF WHATEVER GOD YOU WORSHIP.....ever....ever....watch "The Calamari Wrestler".....yes, you read right....CALAMARI! ....it's EXACTLY what you think it is....and oh god I want to rip out my eyes just from watching the clips of the movie they showed!
*shudders*
If you don't think it's as bad as I think it is....well....fine, check out the clips for your self.
It's about 18 min into this video at the following link....don't you dare say I didn't warn you!

| Popped over to Mike's place after having lunch with him today, first time I've seen him in months even tho we live a block away lol.
Found out he's never heard of G.A.N.T.z before, and gave him the manga. I think he'll like it since it's pretty much pure fighting, and it has alot of gore in it as well.
He ended up giving me a DVD with some video's of Ally G's new persona. =D
It should definatly stave off the boredom for a while haha.
Oh, found a funny link for a truely ingenious prank call involving two chinese take out restaruants. =D http://chinesetakeaway.ytmnd.com/

| Bah, I'm way too bored now a days...so I'll start blogging I guess.
Got a Intous 6X8 so hopefully that'll suck up a bunch of my free time, and result in some pretty artwork. ^^
Anyways, BIG NEWS!!!! Top Gear Car Winter Olympics airs on Feb 12th!!!! Look, it says so here! http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,22749-2012882,00.html

So crazy looking, especially since it looks like a Jag XK is involved, not the old one but the new one that showed up at Gorewood Festival this year! Shit it looks better than I thought it would, but I suppose it should since it's actually a DB9 reskined. *Drools* (BTW Anyone Read Norweigan? I wanna know what they said. ><) | | |
